Final Weeks

We wrapped up Multi-media class with adding to our animations that we been working on. I am happy that my photoshops skills are increasingly improving. My animation turned out great. It is unique because I am using a museum filled with people as my border to my animation. The animation starts off with a little man running through the clouds. Immediately after the clouds compress and random lights go off on each cloud. After that, a plane is GOING DOWN across the painting. To warp it up, the plane from the painting actually crashes into the museum right on the painting and all its viewers. Needless to say, everything explodes.

Week of Nov 30th

Today was a great day to check up on my work and use my multi-media skills. Myself and John Ford were giving the newly built glass window entrance of the VAC building to do more multi-media projections. My theme was all about making the room look full and alive. What I wanted to do is actually make the building itself look like its LIVING. I give the building a heart, eye, and mouth. In addition, I also used actual pictures of people and made them look like they were walking in the LIVING building that is the VAC.

It was a lot of fun to work in this small space. We projected some of our work off a window and it reflected on the wall . In addition, the windows reflected the walls so the entire space was emersed in color and movement.

The Week of November 23rd

In class we took our animations and took the next step. We started off in class showing our individual works of animation. My animation was called "Mr. Elephant and the hungry Bear." Long story short, the hungry bear no longer exists. After a critique of our animations, Peck assigned the last project, which incorporates some type of existing work of art. I decided to use "the sky above the clouds by O'Keefe. I thouhgt this be a good piece to use because it sets an environment that I can manipulate using my animation skills. I had a little man jump from cloud to cloud. The little man fell through the cloud half way thru the painting. I ended the animation with a class favorite, A PLANE CRASH!!!!!

Week 10-13

We summed up our last project in the Galleria. Modul8 was new to me but I have a basic understanding of it now. We are moving onto our next project, Animation! Today I used paper scrap to create an angry face that wants you to recycle. This project sounds like it will be the most fun to create for the last couple of classes. For next week, we will be doing my animation and picking out a theme for our next project.

The previous weeks I used different items commonly found in a household. The week before that I used pictures I took at the zoo. My final piece consists of text and peoples bodies/body parts. I will be using full body shots of people to make them look like there walking. I have an eye motion which I intend to project on the ceiling or side wall. To top it off, I have a picture of a heart that will pulse to the sound in the room.

Week 9

This week was the most scary and exciting week. I feel clueless in class sometimes because I am not the most computer savvy, but this week some of my classmates helped me get a basic understanding of modulate. I feel more confident and am able to create my own works of multimedia art. We spent the whole day in the Galllery finding angles and projecting pictures that flooded the gallery with color and motion.

Week 8

On week 8, we finished and turned in our VAC project. We then did some photo shop work for our next weeks class in the gallery

Week 7

Now that Peck checked my work, I am picking out two images still images to bring into my video. I choose to photo-shop the famous painting "The scream"and the one painting with the melting clocks in it, and a lighting pic into water. Lastly, Justin uploaded Modul8 so I am start using still images to further advance my video clip of Paul Matthews. The class ended with Peck showing is animations to give us an idea of what we will be doing for our next project.
